Where Turkish hotel furniture is actually made
Türkiye's furniture production runs through six centres the Ministry of Trade names: İstanbul, Ankara, Bursa (İnegöl), Kayseri, İzmir and Adana. İnegöl is the densest — 1,256 firms exported $823.3 million of furniture in 2023, 56% of the district's total exports, according to its chamber of commerce. MASKO and MODOKO, the two Istanbul furniture cities, describe themselves as shopping centres rather than factories.
A buyer sourcing hotel furniture in Türkiye is usually given a city and left there. The country's furniture industry is concentrated in a handful of places, each of which makes something different, and two of the best-known addresses are retail sites rather than production sites. This page gives the map, with the source behind each figure.

The six centres, as the ministry lists them
The Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade publishes the sector's production geography on its Kolay İhracat platform, and its order is İstanbul, Ankara, Bursa (İnegöl), Kayseri, İzmir and Adana. The same page puts furniture exports at $4.5 billion in 2024, going to more than 200 countries, with 242,342 people registered as working in the sector.
Iraq has been the largest single market since 2009, followed by Germany, the United States, France and Romania. That order matters when you are reading a factory's reference list: a plant built around Iraqi and Gulf volume runs different specifications from one built around German retail, even when the machines are the same.
İnegöl
İnegöl is a district of Bursa province, and furniture is not one of its industries so much as its industry. Its chamber of commerce, İTSO, published the 2023 trade figures: the district exported $1.483 billion in total across 1,448 exporting firms, and furniture accounted for $823,304,235 of that — 56%, shipped by 1,256 firms. Textiles came second at 12%.
The concentration is what a buyer feels on the ground. Timber, foam, veneer, hardware and finishing are all locally supplied, subcontractors are dense, and a frame that needs re-cutting is a short drive rather than a re-order. Most of that volume is residential seating and casegoods; hotel contract work is done by a subset of the district's firms rather than by all of them.
Kayseri
Kayseri's furniture sits inside its organised industrial zones, which is a different physical arrangement from İnegöl's workshops. The provincial governorship records furniture manufacturing as the largest single sector group in Kayseri OSB at 21.54%, and the third largest at Mimarsinan OSB at 13%, behind food and construction materials.
The zone format tends to mean larger plants, panel-based construction and long production runs. It is the part of the Turkish industry that most resembles the Chinese factories a buyer may have quoted against, and it is where the country's best-known mass-market furniture brands are based.
MASKO and MODOKO are furniture cities, and both are trade centres
The two Istanbul sites that carry the phrase “furniture city” are the ones most often given to foreign buyers as sourcing addresses. Both describe themselves in retail terms. MASKO's own site calls it an “açık hava mobilya alışveriş merkezi” — an open-air furniture shopping centre — in İkitelli, Başakşehir, with hundreds of furniture firms under one site and more than 100,000 visitors a year coming to buy furniture. MODOKO, in Yukarı Dudullu, Ümraniye, runs the strapline “Mobilyanın Başkenti” and qualifies it immediately: “Yüzlerce Mağaza, Binlerce Ürün.” Hundreds of shops.
Both are useful places, and a showroom visit is a fast way to see finishes and hardware in the flesh. They are simply a different kind of address from a production floor: a firm with a stand at MASKO may manufacture in Sancaktepe, in İnegöl, or not at all. The check is the same one that applies anywhere — ask where the plant is, and go to that address instead.
Gemlik, and why a port shows up on a furniture map
Furniture is a volumetric cargo: a guest-room package fills a container long before it reaches its weight limit, so the distance between the finishing line and the quay is a real line in the landed cost. Gemlik, on the gulf south of the Sea of Marmara, has three working ports — Gemport, Borusan Lojistik and Roda. Gemlik's chamber of commerce records Gemport as 8 quays totalling 1,051 metres, 600,000 TEU of annual container capacity, and 700,000 m² of total area, handling containers, vehicles, steel coil, paper, textiles and timber.
Gemlik and İnegöl are both districts of Bursa province, which is why the furniture that leaves Türkiye by sea and the furniture that is made in Türkiye keep appearing on the same map.
Where we are
Naggarco manufactures in Gemlik, Bursa: Umurbey Mah., Eski Orhangazi Yolu Cad. No: 8/1, on a 5,000 m² production floor with a 350 m² showroom and eight model rooms on site. Machining, veneer, finishing and upholstery happen in that one building. Visitors usually come to see the model rooms, because a finished room answers more questions than a factory tour does.
What this page does not do
It does not rank the clusters, and it does not tell you which one your project belongs in — that follows from your specification, your volume and your delivery date, not from geography. The figures also come from different years: İnegöl's are 2023, the national export value is 2024, and the port and industrial-zone figures are undated on their sources. They are given with the year attached so you can check each one rather than read them as a single snapshot.

- Which port do Turkish furniture exports leave from?
- There is no single one. For the Bursa cluster, Gemlik is the nearest deep-water option and has three ports: Gemport, Borusan Lojistik and Roda. Istanbul-made goods more often leave through the Marmara ports on either side of the city. Road freight to Europe leaves by truck and does not touch a port at all.
