Naggar is Arabic for carpenter, and the company carries the family name. Today it stands over a production floor in Gemlik, on the Bursa coast of Türkiye.

The first carpenter the family remembers is Mohamed Omar El-Naggar, in Egypt. He built saqiyas, the tall wooden wheels that lifted irrigation water, and cut the wooden gear trains that drove them. His gears were fine enough that people called him the watchmaker carpenter. His son Kamal moved the workshop from machinery to household furniture. Kamal's son Mohamed Kamal taught six sons a trade each: antique chair frames, seating suites, upholstery, carving, modern interiors.

Mohamed Naggar grew up in that workshop and has spent his working life building and running furniture factories, first in Egypt and then in Istanbul and Bursa. Naggarco Group is the Turkish company he formed in Gemlik to sell that work to hotel groups directly. His father's rule is the one he still repeats on the floor: make your work good enough that the buyer respects you, not only pays you.
